——"Guanghe No. 1" to create a new species of river crab

Since 1992, the crab began to enter large-scale artificial breeding and breeding. After more than ten years of development, the scale of the industry has continued to expand. Problems such as serious return of germplasm, frequent diseases, small size, poor quality, and low efficiency have become increasingly prominent. The bottleneck restricting the sustainable development of my country's crab industry also brings huge risks to the vast number of crab farmers. Chairman Li Weidong clearly realized that excellent germplasm resources are the basis for promoting the rapid growth of aquaculture and improving unit benefits, especially the inevitable demand for the development of high-quality, high-yield, efficient and ecologically safe modern agriculture. Breeding research, to solve the above problems from the germplasm level, to cultivate a series of new crab varieties with large size, fast growth rate, strong disease resistance and stress resistance, high survival rate and good meat quality, which will solve the limitation of the entire river crab breeding. The bottleneck problem of the economic benefits of the industry is to promote the sustainable development of the crab industry. In 2000, under the auspices of Chairman Li Xiaodong, the development of new species of river crabs of Panjin Guanghe Crab Industry Co., Ltd. began. The production of a new variety is not only a high-tech process, but also a process of large investment and long time. In 2005, Norwegian expert Jorn Thodesen (Chinese name: Ma Dayong) was hired to provide technical guidance for the breeding of advanced populations of river crabs. After 12 years of unremitting efforts and continuous development, a new species of river crabs with stable and excellent traits was selected in 2011. No. 1", and was recognized by the National Aquatic Original and Improved Breed Approval Committee that year. Since then, China's first new species of river crab was born. This species is based on 3,000 wild Chinese mitten crabs in the estuaries of the Liaohe, Yellow, Oujiang and Yalu Rivers as the base group (male to female ratio is 2:1), with body weight and size as the main breeding indicators, and appearance as auxiliary breeding. The indicators were selected and bred for 6 consecutive generations.

"Guanghe No. 1" has a large variety and a high survival rate. The size of the adult crabs in the breeding population has been increased from generation to generation. Compared with the wild Chinese mitten crabs in Liaohe River, the average body weight of the adult crabs increased by 25.98%, and the survival rate increased by 48.59%. It has the following advantages: it is suitable for artificial breeding conditions, and the survival rate in the artificial breeding environment of paddy field is much higher than that of wild seedlings. The size is large. Compared with the wild species in Liaohe River, the average size of cultured adult crabs is significantly larger than that of unselected groups. Adapt to a variety of water environments, showing excellent growth performance in paddy fields, reed ponds, and reservoir environments. It is suitable for breeding in the northern temperate zone and has a fast growth rate. It can grow normally and overwinter in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia. More than 95% of the individuals can reach sexual maturity before mid-September and can be supplied to the market in time.

The company's "Photosynthesis No. 1" promotion work began in 2011. Because the number of new varieties of crabs at that time was relatively small, the company's output for the production of macrophthalmia was only about 3,000 kilograms. Due to the small number, it was not sold under the name of "Guanghe No. 1" at that time, but according to the return visit records of the company's science popularization service center, the yield of these new varieties of river crabs is much higher than that of ordinary crab seedlings. Thus, the excellent characters of "Photosynthesis No. 1" were further verified. Since then, the company has continuously expanded the cultivation of "Photosynthesis No. 1" species crabs, and continuously increased the output of "Photosynthesis No. 1" macrophthalmia. In the process of application and promotion, it has been favored and highly recognized by the majority of farmers. And in 2015 won the first prize of Liaoning Province Science and Technology Progress Award. After 2017, the company's "Guanghe No. 1" crab fry output has basically stabilized at 40,000-50,000 kilograms. Up to now, the majority of crab farmers do not know "Guanghe No. 1". "Guanghe No. 1" crab seedlings have been in a state of short supply, and farmers have basically ordered new varieties of crab seedlings in full. "Guanghe No. 1" big-eyed larvae crab fry is not only famous for its high yield, uniform individuality and strong vitality, but also the "Guanghe No. 1" button crab also performed very well in the process of breeding adult crabs, so that Jilin, Heilongjiang, When purchasing crabs from other places such as Hebei and Tianjin, the first choice is "Guanghe No. 1" crabs, and the sales price is even higher than ordinary crabs by a few dollars per catty.

The new variety of "Guanghe No. 1" crab has injected strong impetus into the sustainable and healthy development of the crab industry in northern my country. It has become a good helper for crab farmers to increase their income and become rich, and has become the most influential brand in northern China and even the whole country.

The serious phenomenon of running orders caused the company to produce a large surplus of crab fry according to the order, causing serious economic losses to the company. During the sales process of crab seedling orders in 2011, Ma Min, the then sales manager, conducted customer visits and surveys before customers picked up seedlings, analyzed the psychological state of customers on the day of seedling picking over the years, and learned that most of the customers had paid the seedlings in advance on the day of picking seedlings. The demand for seedlings was raised as soon as possible, and after careful analysis and evaluation, the pre-sale service measure of contract orders for crab seedlings being sent to the countryside to receive the full payment in advance before paying the seedlings was introduced. Waiting time for tedious procedures such as contracts, payment and ticket exchange, and more importantly, reducing the risk of customers running orders. In the sales of ecological crab fry in 2011, this new measure achieved an advance collection rate of more than 70% in that year. Since then, this innovative sales model has been in use until now, and the company's crab seedling sales have never occurred due to market price fluctuations, which has effectively guaranteed the company's crab seedling sales. example.
