On November 16, 2020, the fourth council meeting of the China Fisheries Association River Crab Branch was held in Nanjing. All members from the China Fisheries Association River Crab Branch gathered in Gaochun to listen to the work report of the River Crab Branch in 2020. More than 80 leaders of agricultural departments and member representatives from 17 provinces, cities and counties in heavy crab producing areas across the country attended the meeting.

Zhang Zhaoxia, deputy secretary of the CPC Nanjing Gaochun District Committee, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the development of Gaochun's fishery and river crab industry.

Li Xiaodong, President of the River Crab Branch of China Fisheries Association, made a work report, reported the main work of the fourth session of the Fourth Council, analyzed the current development of the river crab industry, and proposed several major tasks in the future.

Wang Defen and Lin Jianhua, consultants of the River Crab Branch, made important speeches at the meeting.

Lu Weibing, the executive vice president of the River Crab Branch of the China Fisheries Association, read out the changes and additions of the board members, and newly elected 13 vice presidents including Sun Bingting, 4 executive directors including Wang Ting, and 3 members including Zhang Yang. President Li Xiaodong issued certificates to the co-opted personnel.

The meeting reviewed the proposal on holding the 5th "Top Ten Famous Crabs in China" Contest. It was unanimously approved to hold the fifth "Top Ten Famous Crabs in China" competition every four years in 2021.

The meeting reviewed and passed the "Resolution of the Council of China Fisheries Association River Crab Branch" (draft) made by Li Guoping, the honorary president for life.

Zhang Jinbiao, Yao Meimei, Sun Bingting, Tian Zhong, vice presidents of the Crab Branch, etc. put forward opinions and suggestions on the work of the Crab Branch in 2021 and the development plan of the Crab Industry in the "14th Five-Year Plan".

In 2020, the national river crab industry will survive the situation of resisting "water conditions" in the south, "drought conditions" in the north, and "epidemic" in the whole country, maintaining the sustainable and healthy development of the river crab industry in the face of adversity.

During the meeting, the participants visited Crab City in Gaochun District, Nanjing City, Gaochun Aquatic Products Market, Ecological Company 10,000 Mu Base, Qingsong Association, etc., and listened to the introduction of the breeding experience of "Gaochun Model".
