"Treading the middle of the sea, picking up shells and Clams, Panjin's unique 'Ocean Ranch' experience trip is unforgettable." On September 15, several tourists from Beijing felt the magic of Bohai Golden Beach - Clams Afterwards, they all gave thumbs up and expressed their sincere admiration.
The clam post is located in the north of Liaodong Bay, about 10 kilometers away from the coast of Erjiegou Street, a famous fishing port town in Dawa District, Panjin City. It is an underwater sandbar with 12,000 hectares offshore formed after the alluvial sedimentation of the downstream sediments between the two estuaries of the Daliao River and the Liaohe River. This sandbar hides at high tide and appears at low tide. Because the hill is rich in shellfish such as clams, clams, basket clams, and four-horned clams, it has become the world-famous Bohai Golden Beach - Clam Hill.
In the late 1990s, a shellfish disease caused mass die-offs of clams on Clam Hills, nearly depleting this precious natural resource.
Since 2010, the Panjin Municipal Government has strictly managed and closed posts for breeding, and adopted measures such as proliferation and release and scientific harvesting based on assessment of biological capacity, so that resources on posts can be quickly restored. At present, the total biological reserve of shellfish in Gangshang is more than 100,000 tons, and the annual harvest of economic shellfish is about 5,000 tons.
Yu Qizhi, marketing manager of Panjin Guanghe Crab Industry Co., Ltd., told reporters that from July to September every year, it is the golden season to visit Clam Hill. You can harvest rich marine resources such as clams, crabs, clams, and pipi shrimp, you can taste the freshness of the river and the sea at the confluence of the Bohai Sea and the Liaohe River, and you can also watch the precious birds on the beach from a distance.”
"It feels so good! Being on the vast shoal in the vast sea, stepping on the soft and smooth mud flat with bare feet, as if giving your feet a comfortable massage; and catching so many seafood with your own hands, really Don't have a fun travel experience!" Zhang Quan, a tourist from Tianjin, excitedly displayed the clams and crabs he had just caught after picking up shellfish. His joy was beyond words.
