First  "ring groove" can play a role in regulating water temperature

Most people think that the ring groove is for crabs to escape the high temperature during the high temperature period, we think this is not comprehensive. According to our experience, "ring groove" can play a role in regulating water temperature. The "ring ditch" here refers specifically to the ditch with an effective water depth of 50-80 cm excavated in the rice field, especially the "ring ditch" in the rice field in northern my country. In the early stage of breeding, the slow seedling tillering of rice has not ended or the end time is not long, the rice seedlings are small, the water layer is shallow, the field surface is dry and dry, and high temperature in early summer often occurs. Infringement; after the rice ridge is closed, the shading ability of rice is increasingly strengthened. According to our experience data, the temperature of the rice sheltered water is about 5°C lower than that of the unshaded place, so the crabs will not run to the "circle" because of avoiding high temperature. ditch".

Secondly  What are the benefits of "ring groove"?

First, keep a certain amount of water, and play a buffering role in the absence of water. At this time, the most basic role, especially the rice fields with poor water source conditions, the long interval between water shifts, drought and other reasons, the fields appear dry, and the ring ditch can also ensure that the river crabs have water available.

Second, adjust the buffer water quality. As the rice grows, there is no light under the rice, the number of phytoplankton is reduced to the minimum, the oxygen production capacity and oxygen production are reduced to the minimum, and the dissolved oxygen level of the rice field water is generally only 2mg/L. Left and right, it is not conducive to the healthy growth of river crabs. At this time, because the "ring groove" is not blocked, the phytoplankton and planted aquatic plants can photosynthesize freely, produce oxygen and diffuse in the water, so as to alleviate the impact of low dissolved oxygen on river crabs. For the same reason, the pH of the rice water is low, which can be close to 7, and the "ring ditch" is high, which can reach 10. Both of them are not conducive to the growth of river crabs. When combined with each other, the river crabs are more happy.

Third, to provide a space for crabs to avoid adverse environments, which mainly occurs when the paddy fields have to be topdressed and sprayed with pesticides. The local ammonia nitrogen and pesticide concentrations in the field are high, which will endanger the life of the crabs. At this time, the "ring ditch" is relatively safe. Fourth, provide operational space for feeding and catching. There is no shelter in the "ring ditch", and it is easy to observe the feeding situation of river crabs after feeding the bait. In autumn, nets such as cages and other cages in the "ring ditch" can quickly catch river crabs and market, which is conducive to capturing business opportunities.

Finally, we provide a "ring ditch" setting plan that we think is more reasonable: the "ring ditch" is excavated on the upper water side of the paddy field. According to the shape of the paddy field, it is divided into a bamboo section from the ridge, with an opening of about 1 meter and a bottom of 0.5 to 0.7 meters. , 0.5 to 0.7 meters deep, and excavate about 20 cm away from the ridge to reduce flooded landslides in the ridge. The most important thing is to plant aquatic plants in the "ring groove", such as elegans, black algae, bitter grass, hornwort, polygrass and other submerged plants.
