On April 23rd, the Panjin River Crab Standardized Production and Industry Sustainable Development High-level Forum, hosted by the Panjin Municipal Government and undertaken by Panjin Science and Technology Association, Science and Technology Bureau, Ocean and Fishery Bureau, and Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, was held at the Municipal People's Theater. The meeting was attended by Xu Jisheng, deputy mayor of the municipal government, Zhang Yaowu, a researcher at the municipal level, Ding Lixing, vice chairman of the CPPCC, Wang Guanghua, chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Wang Lijuan, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and other leaders of relevant municipal departments, county leaders, etc. A total of 150 township leaders, scientific and technological workers and journalists from the city's aquatic front, and authoritative experts in relevant fields at home and abroad were invited to make reports. The meeting was chaired by Lv Bo, deputy director of the Municipal Ocean and Fisheries Bureau.

The main purpose of this forum is to systematically understand the development trend and current situation of river crabs in the country and even the world, improve the understanding of scientific and technological workers, increase the sense of urgency and responsibility for work, and effectively promote the progress of the Panjin river crab industry. Ma Dayong, a Norwegian breeding expert, Wang Wu, a professor at Shanghai Fisheries University, Cui Zhaoxia, a researcher at the Open Laboratory of the Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Cheng Yongxu, a professor at Shanghai Fisheries University, Li Yonghan, a professor at Dalian Fisheries Institute, and Li Xiaodong, chairman of Panjin Guanghe Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. Six experts have made wonderful reports successively, on the importance of river crab breeding in the breeding of large crabs, the application of molecular biology in the breeding of river crabs, the nutritional requirements of river crabs, the implementation ideas of the project of raising large crabs, and the theory and theory of breeding large crabs in Panjin. Practical and other aspects have been explained incisively, won bursts of applause, broadened the thinking and vision of the vast number of scientific and technological workers in Panjin, and injected new strength into the crab industry in Panjin and the country.
