Chinese mitten crab "Guanghe No. 1" is a new aquatic species developed by Panjin Photohe Crab Industry Co., Ltd. (formerly Panjin Photohe Aquatic Products Co., Ltd.). Since 2000, this species has been based on 3,000 wild Chinese mitten crabs in the estuary of the Liaohe River (male-to-male ratio is 2:1), with body weight and size as the main breeding indicators, and appearance as auxiliary breeding indicators. Breeding from 6 consecutive generations.

"Photosynthesis No. 1" crab has the following advantages:

1. This variety grows fast, with large size and high survival rate. Compared with Liaohe wild crabs, the size of adult crabs increased by 25.98%, and the survival rate increased by 48.59%.

2. Adapting to artificial breeding conditions, the survival rate in the artificial breeding environment of paddy field is much higher than that of wild seedlings. Adapt to a variety of water environments, showing excellent growth performance in paddy fields, reed ponds, and reservoir environments.

3. It is suitable for breeding in the northern temperate zone and has a fast growth rate. It can grow normally and overwinter in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia. More than 95% of the individuals can reach sexual maturity before mid-September and can be supplied to the market in time.

In 2011, the Chinese mitten crab "Photosynthesis No. 1" was approved by the National Original Breeds Approval Committee and became the first new national-level river crab variety in my country. The variety registration number: GS-01-004-2011
