I am very happy to welcome all distinguished guests to the groundbreaking ceremony of the new technology research and development center of Guanghe Aquatic Products in this severe winter season with the cold wind and the dripping water. The connotation has brought great encouragement to all of us in the photosynthesis. On behalf of all the staff, I would like to express my warm welcome and heartfelt thanks for your visit!
Guanghe Aquatic Products is a technology-based enterprise. In the 17 years since its establishment in 1999, it has formed its core competitiveness through the transformation of a series of achievements made by the enterprise's independent innovation, which has enabled the enterprise to achieve rapid development. The company has become a national high-tech enterprise, a national modern seed industry demonstration farm, a national healthy breeding demonstration farm, a national-level crab seed farm, a national science popularization education base and a demonstration base for popular science benefiting farmers and villages, and a key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in Liaoning Province. National Chinese Eriocheir Crab Genetics and Breeding Center. Since the establishment of the company, we have established our own R&D center. Through the joint efforts of the scientific and technological personnel of the R&D center, we have completed a number of key research projects at the national, provincial and ministerial level, city level and the company's independent establishment. There are 28 key research projects. The achievements have passed the acceptance and appraisal, including 1 box of the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1, 4, and 2 of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize of the Harvest Plan of the Ministry of Agriculture, and a city hall-level science and technology award. The first and second prizes for progress are 4 and 3 respectively. There are 5 national invention patents and 1 new product under national examination. Therefore, it has been recognized as a national and local joint innovation key engineering laboratory, a Liaoning Province Aquatic Industry Science and Technology Innovation Platform, a Liaoning Province Engineering Technology Center, and a Liaoning Province Key Engineering Laboratory.
With the development of the enterprise, the rapid increase of R&D projects and the growth of the scientific and technological team entering the R&D center, the original scale has not been able to meet the needs. After the key engineering laboratory task, we need to expand our laboratory and display platform on the existing basis, and improve the research and development function. With the strong support of the city and county government, our new R&D center has successfully completed the project registration, land transfer, planning and design, project bidding and other work, and finally officially started today. Here, on behalf of all employees of Photosynthetic Crab Industry, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to leaders at all levels, cooperative units and design and construction units for supporting us!
The main project of this R&D center, with a construction area of 12,000 square meters, is divided into exhibition hall, 3D cinema, training classroom, laboratory, marine food packaging display workshop, tasting room and other parts. After completion, it can accommodate 200 scientific researchers to work at the same time, and the daily number of visitors, dining and shopping can reach 2,000. It will become a complex of popular science education, technical training, catering and shopping, scientific research and development, and product display, in order to enrich the city's tourism. The connotation of products, the display of the scientific and technological achievements of our city's modern agricultural construction, the promotion of our advanced comprehensive planting and breeding model, and the realization of the Internet + smart agricultural development method will all play an important role.
The first-phase project of the R&D center, the live breeding and display workshop, has been completed. The second-phase project started today. It is planned to complete all construction and decoration projects in October 2016. It will be opened to the public when the tourist season arrives, and tourism reception can be realized at that time. It has become a new highlight of the characteristic tourism of Red Beach.
According to the development plan of Photosynthesis, our scientific research will focus on the breeding of wetland and estuary aquatic animal populations and the direction of healthy breeding integration technology. Our R&D center will build this platform and become the Silicon Valley of China's crab industry and an internationally leading company. The Wetland and Estuary Biological Research Center will become the largest agricultural science and technology research and development center in the country in the future.
It has always been our goal to build Photosynthetic Aquatic Products into a high-level research-oriented enterprise with application technology characteristics, and to drive more farmers to increase their income and create social wealth. Next, create a bright future for photosynthesis!
