On November 2, 2015, the Panjin Science and Technology Bureau organized relevant experts to inspect the project of "Research on Chinese Small Long-armed Shrimp Breeding and Augmentation Technology" independently established by Panjin Photosynthetic Crab Industry Co., Ltd. in Dawa County, Panjin. So, what is the Chinese small long arm shrimp?
The authentic Panjin post-70s and 80s are not unfamiliar with Chinese small long-arm shrimp. The mother's skilled cooking skills, and the small river shrimp with fragrant lips and teeth in her memory is the famous "Chinese small long-arm shrimp".
Chinese small long-armed shrimp (Palaemonetessinensis) is a crustacean, decapod, long-armed shrimp family, long-armed shrimp genus. Chinese small long-arm shrimp is an indigenous species in the Liaohe Estuary area, commonly known as "small river shrimp" in Panjin area. The output is abundant in the Liaohe Estuary Wetland of Panjin, which is more common in the waters with lush aquatic plants and is an important aquatic resource. The sales market of Chinese small long-arm shrimp is booming, and commercial shrimp are exported to South Korea, Japan and other countries. However, in recent years, due to wetland degradation and exhaustive harvesting, this species is on the verge of extinction. It is of great significance to carry out research on raising seedlings and aquaculture, which is of great significance to the restoration of biodiversity and ecological environment of Liaohe Estuary wetland.
At present, there are few researchers on the Chinese small long-armed shrimp at home and abroad, and the retrieved materials only have a brief introduction to its classification, lack of basic biological research, and no research on artificial breeding and aquaculture technology.
In order to solve the problem of breeding and breeding of Chinese small long-armed shrimp, Panjin Photosynthetic Crab Industry Co., Ltd. independently established a project in 2014, conducted special research on it, obtained its basic biological data, and developed artificial pond and paddy field breeding technology.
The R&D team of Panjin Photosynthetic Crab Industry Co., Ltd. conducted laboratory experiments on Chinese small long-armed shrimp, and conducted basic research on its morphological characteristics, growth laws, basic habits, gonadal development, embryonic development, and metamorphosis and growth of juvenile shrimp. At the same time, through the comparative experiment analysis of different densities, the optimal placement density was obtained, and the breeding water quality was regularly tested and analyzed to obtain the best physical and chemical parameters suitable for breeding. To explore the outdoor breeding process of S. chinensis, and put forward the breeding model of S. chinensis. Completed the outdoor pond breeding experiment and paddy field breeding experiments of Chinese small long-armed shrimp. The average yield per mu of harvested ponds is 130 kg, and the average yield of paddy farming is 28 kg per mu. After sampling, the average body length was 2.475 cm, the maximum body length was 3.519 cm, and the minimum body length was 1.87 cm; the average weight was 0.22 grams.
After two years of research, the photosynthetic R&D team gradually learned about the life history of S. chinensis on the basis of experiments, and preliminarily concluded a set of comprehensive breeding methods suitable for ponds and paddy fields of S. chinensis in the northern region. Experts at the meeting agreed that: the project research is innovative, and the development of this project has important guiding significance for the protection and rational development of Chinese small long-armed shrimp resources, the restoration and protection of wetland biological environment and biological species. Filled gaps in the industry in terms of outdoor pond and paddy field breeding techniques.
Chairman Li Xiaodong stated at the end of the acceptance: On the basis of this research, our R&D team should further improve and verify the breeding technology of Chinese small long-armed shrimp, standardize the operation process, and continue to deepen the research and gradually promote the technology. Breeding farmers open up another way to increase income and write another new chapter in photosynthesis.
