The first is work. As soon as I arrived in Dongtai in December 2020, I went through the cultivation of small white shrimp, the cultivation of seed crabs, the construction of desalination ponds, the cleaning and renovation of seedling ponds, the Spring Festival duty, the watering of seedling ponds, the cultivation, desalination of larvae, Sales, checkout, etc. These jobs are basically completely different from our work in Panjin, and it was difficult to get into the role at the beginning. For example, to sell small white shrimp, we have to get up in the middle of the night to sell shrimp, and we have to do the pipe laying of the desalination tank, whether it is the manual work of digging trenches or the technical work of laying pipes. The renovation of the pond will continue until the 27th or 8th day of the twelfth lunar month, and the water has to be pumped on the first day of the new year. The crab ponds are basically not frozen, and they have to be fed almost every day. Most of the workers who raise the seedlings are temporary, and there are no skilled workers to take care of the seedlings. In this way, our colleagues in Dongtai are all-rounders, both technical and physical.
